Third Teaching Practice (Third Period)

The last tiem in the access program to me was amazing because i get along with my students and they are a nice group. I started the class this time with the Hachi Pachi they understood pretty nice the rules and play just a little bit slow and that activitie cosumed important minutes of the developement of my class, but I did not realized about that. After that I gave them a brief grammar explanation about the use of CAN CANNOT and HAVE TO according to this topic that was very difficult to me for having good activities and beyond of that understandable. I used a short conversation making pairs and making changes in their couples in order to all of them participated. After that i did scramble again but in different way. In the porevious one i used words, but in this one i used sentences with have to and can. they developed this activitie in a good mood and the last activitie I prepared was a role play but because the times flew i did not continued with that one. English Access Program was a different experiences, but I will never forget.

Second Teaching Practice (Third Period)

This time was a little bit different because I changed the previous mistakes and improved them. I started my class with RABBIT; HOUSES; EARTHQUAKE the students enjoyed so much this game but taliking about the formulation of statements in PRESENT PROGRESSIVE they were confused this time and was very difficult for them to developed in the way I planned. After that, I explained the grammar structure of the INTERROGATIVE STATEMENTS of the PRESENT PROGRESSIVE they understood so greate and I used some pictures of anime for catching their attention. I developed some activities Inside-out using the circle shape for developing, scramble and the last one i could not develop, and the students enjoyed them but according to my feedback they were not related to the topic and that was i did well the previous class the connection of the activities with the topic.

First Teaching Practice (Third Period)

My first time in the access program as practitioner was incredible. I was nervous, but i have prepared many interesting activities for thta class. I started with the hangman, the students respond a litle bit confused of this activity because they were accostumed to move so much in activities of warm up. After that I started to explain about the topic that was NEGATIVE STATEMENTS PRESENT CONTINUOUS and they understood the brief explanation. Then I continued with some activities as fill in and matching and again they responded nice to those activities. And i finished with some pictures where the students had to create the sentences in present continuous using the negative statements. This class was amazing, and i could be more relax after I got along with the group.
During my feedback, i ciuld realize that I made some mistakes choosing my activities because I needed more motion activities for them and; on the other hand, talking about the pictures it should be better to me if i had used the pictures to create the sentences for the grammar explanation.

Second Teaching Practice (Second Period)

As the previous practice i did, i started the lat teaching practice with a variation in the warm up. I made a listening for reviewing the previous class and some terms that appears in a chart talking about how people can cope with the stress that was my topic for this last class. As the previous class i gave, i saw the students have the problem to lose the attention of the listening. After that, i made another warm up that was sharade. The students had to create two groups and choose a representative of each group. then the representatives had to be in front of the class sitting on the desk. i was going to write a word on the board and every group had to explain the wor but without any mimic. They found this activity very funny. After that, i started the presentation with a reading, and the grammar explanation of the Subjunctive Sentences and they understood very well; then, i developed with them two excersices. One was about fill in the blancks of 10 sentences in the book choosing the best way of the verb according to the subjunctive sentences, and the last activity was a reading of some people who have problems with the stress and the students had to gave them piece of advices for dealing with it.

First Teaching Practice (Second Period)

I had to give classes for the Advanced Level in the afternoon. First, I started the class putting the date and the agenda that i was going to develop for that day, and we played a game THE HOT POTATO as a warm up. Students understood the directions i gave them and they perfomed interested the funny game. After that, i started to present the topic that was PERSONALITY and for introducing them i started to explain what personality is and talking about a daily life. I made a reading with a considerable time because i needed they got the most important information; besides they had the opportuniy to shared their point of view about the topic. After, i made a listening, and realized they have problems for focusing in the listenings; most of the time they spent that time talking about other stuff instead of paying attention to the listening. Some students have some problems with pronunciation and spelling, and some of them have nice bases of the Language, but they need to practice more. Finally, i finished my class doing a pair work of a conversation in the book, and they had to performe in front of the class acting.

Pair Observation II

I had the opprutnity to check the work of my classmate Sonia, and i could realize the way she prepare the classes for her practices. She was very relaxed and i saw she was organized with every thing she was going to develop with the class. She put the date and the agenda that was an specific thing the tutor asked her. First, she started with the warm up that was very interesting because she gave them a pieces of color paperand the students had to ask question to their classmates and they did not have to answer with yes and no. i could see the students found this activity very funny. After that, she made the presentation of the topic and she was very carefuly for explain the topic; then, she made a reading and after the reading they had to answer some questions in the book. Sonia took some extra minutes but that problem most of the time pass. In conlusion, i think that Sonia has an incredible ability to give classes.

The Observation Of Access Program

The access program has variety of students from different public schools and private schools in Santa Ana city. In the classroom, i could see most of the students have knowledge about English Language and some of them fight with the shyness yet; however, they do every task and presentation carefully in order to have successful results in this schoolarship.

I could see teacher wrote down the mistakes of the students during their presentations. The teacher took notes because he was going to provide feedback for them and correct their mistakes; around the classroom, students have many materials for checking them with a lot of interesting information. I could see that in one particiation the students, who spoke, told the teacher if he could paste their material on the wall. because of the weather, students got desperate and they started making noise. Finally, i saw when the teacher does not know a certain meaning he asked let them find it in the dictionary and later, he gives them the explanation about it.
